Manchester Gin - Blackberry Infused 50cl

I'm not sure why this has only silver and bronze awards noted on the left of this page as if there is a better flavoured gin I am yet to taste it. The idea of flavouring a gin to taste of anything other than juniper is a bit of an oxymoron but semantics aside if you are going to do it, make it taste of genuine, juicy fruit which complement the juniper, don't make it taste like an adult sweet shop, this achieves it brilliantly. It tastes simply like a clean, neutral spirit, juniper and blackberries were mashed together for a velvety smooth gin with a bit of body do it as well as the delightful tartness of blackberry and mercifully no over zealous sugar adding (these are gins not liqueurs!). Simple and stunning.
