Lundin Distilling create Gorse Gin in Fife, balancing the necessary traditional juniper-y goodness of gin with a hearty helping of locally-foraged gorse. However, it's not simply the juniper and gorse show - there are 17 other botanicals that make their way into Gorse Gin, including grapefruit, chamomile, elderflower and cinnamon, among others.
Oily juniper, redcurrant, tangy orange and vibrant floral elegance. A touch of white pepper and cassia gives it an enjoyable warmth on the mid-palate, while heather continues the floral theme on the finish.

Attended the Belfast Gin fest 21st June - One of the stars of the show was Gorse, a beautiful smooth drink taken with tonic and a slice of water melon (something different). Could have drunk it all afternoon
We bought a bottle at The Scottish Gardening Show after tasting it at the stall. It’s a fantastic gin I’m not a gin connoisseur choosing to stick with a Hendrix. But I was very surprised how good this gin was. Definitely worth giving it a go.
Really enjoyed this smooth tasting Gin!
I tried this new Gin with a little trepidation given is recent appearance on an already crowded market. Would it try to be too much or too different? (I am thinking Makar here for example) However I was very pleasantly surprised; the taste on the tongue is fresh and the gorse comes out in a pleasantly surprising yet subtle coconut flavour that is complimented by the floral theme. Very easily quaffable I was astonished how quickly the bottle disappeared and so I will be ordering very soon again!
