Hendrick's Neptunia

Hendrick's Neptunia Bottling Note

Hendrick's Neptunia looks to capture the glory of the sea within a gin! Inspired by the Ayrshire coast, master distiller Lesley Grace has infused this expression with a host of coastal botanicals, while keeping the Hendrick's characteristic hints of rose and cucumber core to the experience. We think this'll make for some excellent cocktails for enjoying while imagining you're on a beautiful beach somewhere...

Why not try a delicious Neptunia Fizz cocktail with the handy recipe below?

50ml Hendrick's Neptunia

25ml Fresh lime juice

25ml Simple sugar syrup

Soda Water

3 slices of cucumber

Combine all the ingredients in a highball glass, filled with cubed ice. Stir gently, top up with a splash of soda water and garnish with three sliced rounds of cucumber (you don't have to use three slices, go wild and have four if you want... But three looks good, if you want our opinion).

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Fresh gorse and earthy juniper, fragrant hints of rose, subtly savoury at points, before sweet hints of citrus arrive on the finish.

Quite disappointed with this one, it is very aquatic, almost tastes like mens aquatic aftershave smells if that makes sense. Very unpleasant and I will struggle to drink this.

Disappointingly bland
Couldn't really recommend this gin, I couldn't get any much flavour from it, in fact a standard gordons has more punch.
I did try their Midsummer solstice gin and that was lovely but this is wide of the mark. I tried to get hints of the sea etc but nothing, maybe they forgot to add the botanicals... bought on sale at 35 euro usually an eye watering €45 very disapponting

Bit disappointed.
Perhaps the flavour is too subtle for me but found this gin incredibly two dimensional, certainly nothing would make me realise it is a “special” gin if I hadn’t poured it myself. Evan as a regular gin it is rather bland. I tried with a few different tonics and weirdly found it best with cheaper one; it suited less flavour and more sweetness. Tried it with lemon and cucumber, surprised to find the cucumber was just too much cucumber. A good dose of lemon juice made this into a delicious drink. Makes a very nice gin fizz.
