Hayman's Gently Rested

Hayman's created this new sophisticated new edition to reflect the style of gin sold in London’s ornate Gin Palaces in the 1800s when traditionally gin was sold straight from the cask rather than in bottles.

Hayman's Gently Rested Gin was first distilled by hand before it was rested in Scotch whisky casks for just three weeks. This brief wood contact was intended to add nuance and individuality to an already wonderful dry gin.

The brand recommends mixing it with warming ginger or enjoying it in classic English gin cocktails such as The White Lady.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Citrus forward, with hints of fresh ginger and coriander in tow.

Palate Toasty nutmeg and peppery coriander again, while orange oil tempers any heat. The juniper imparts earthy richness.

Finish Festive spices stick around - think clove and cinnamon.

Outstanding
This is not a novelty gin at all. It is an excellent London Dry gin with just a small faint of softness brought out by the barrel contact. It makes it just a teeny tad softer, but not a flavoured or gimmicky product. Really wonderful. Outstanding in a martini.
