Silverback Mountain Gin Bottling Note

A citrus forward expression, Silverback Mountain Strength Gin is produced in Four Marks, Hampshire, by the Gorilla Spirits Co., using a base of 100% British wheat spirit and featuring juniper, angelica, calamus root, sweet orange, coriander, acacia blossom and lemongrass. The still which produces this gin is named Mugwaneza, which is Kinrwandan for 'She who is content'. It's not just a name either, Gorilla Spirits Co. donate £1 from every bottle sold to The Gorilla Organisation to help fund the conservation of endangered Mountain Gorillas.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Sweet, floral coriander waft up first, followed by freshly-zested-orange-peel notes and a whisper of lemongrass.

Palate: Herbaceous spice and orange segment sweetness. Touches of juniper in the background.

Finish: Citrus at the fore. Very clean and refreshing.

Reviews for Silverback Mountain Strength Gin
Very classy and versatile gin!
I love this gin - it has a clean citrus and slight spice over the juniper which all balances incredibly well served simply with a twist of Orange peel. I give this to my gin cynic friends who have so far all loved it also. It's great for cocktail making too!

Really good stuff
I'm starting to think 40% gins no longer cut it, having tried quite a few higher strength varieties. Silverback is no exception, a generous measure with No 1 London tonic and a wedge of pink grapefruit from the freezer was a deliciously refreshing, zingy drink that had me going back for round 2.

Love it
A really different taste, the addition of orange peel and the cardamon tonic make it a lovely drink anytime of day.
I would recommend this brilliant gin to anyone.
