Firkin Gin American Oak
Inspired by a love of both gin and whisky, Gleann Mór created Firkin Gin! This barrel aged gin is made with botanicals including juniper, coriander seed, angelica root and orris root, and is left to age in American oak casks before being bottled at 46% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
The cask influence is quite pronounced indeed, with lots of caramel and toasted nut notes on the nose. A hint of peppery juniper sits in the background.
Palate
More vanilla and caramel, followed shortly by spicy coriander and creamy angelica.
Finish
Surprisingly long, with peppery oak lingering.
