Hot Sauce Gin - TBGC Bottling Note

Hot Sauce Gin. Bet you never thought you'd hear those words together. You can thank FEW Spirits and That Boutique-y Gin Company for making this happen. To make it, the folks at FEW finished some of their bourbon in barrels that previously held bourbon and then hot sauce. They redistilled the bourbon with juniper, Guajillo peppers and Ancho chillies to create the gin you see before your eyes. It's pretty wild. We love it.

A limited edition release of 1,228 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Tabasco heat and sweet tomato initially, with touches of vanilla and citrus juice.

Palate Very interesting, like a Red Snapper (A Bloody Mary with gin instead of vodka). Some candied lime sweetness is there, as is fragrant red chilli heat and savoury juniper.

Finish The warmth remains and is comfortable, nothing blows you away, and the smatterings of citrus and vanilla bring a lovely, needed sweetness.

Power
Packs a nice punch without being overpowering, way better than most, and something I'd happily buy again.

Shotgun Marriage
Like waking up on a balmy June morning in Texas. The taste of victory lingers on your lips from the hot-wing contest the night before. But, in the background, there's a sense of hazy regret. You turn to see the farmers daughter lying next to you. You are both completely naked. As you turn over to the other side you see the shotgun barrels aimed between your eyes. Tomorrow, you'll be married
