An absolute classic dry gin, Gordon's is one of the best selling spirits in the world, and was first created in 1769, and the recipe hasn't changed since! This is a triple-distilled gin flavoured with juniper berries, coriander, angelica, and one other botanicals. The actual recipe is only known to a dozen people!
Sweet notes of juniper, a little lemon zest, hints of soft sweetness and fresh herbs.
Very clean, dry juniper delivery, develops with lemon and other citrus notes - zesty.
A simple, medium-length finish.
I know it is quite inexpensive and hasn't got an awful flavour, but I find it makes you emotional and other gins are either more pleasant, more complex or simply taste better. Spend a little more, it'll be worth it
Excellent value - a no-nonsense spirit that's still a reference for how gin is supposed to be. It may not be super subtle or exotic, but that's fine with me.
