Aval Dor Dry Gin Bottling Note

Delicious spirits might not be first the first thing that comes to mind when one thinks of Cornwall. Sure, there's cream, pasties, and Poldark, but there's also some great gin! This Aval Dor Cornish Gin from Cornwall's Colwith Farm Distillery is made using a potato based vodka which is then infused with nine other botanicals including Cornish rosemary and lemon balm. It follows the same farm-to-bottle process as the distillery's other spirit bottlings, which includes their award winning vodka of the same name.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Herbaceous and oily as hoped, rounded with a sweet nut base and citrus top notes.

Palate: Juniper, some bay coming through, marzipan, Brazil nuts with mixed citrus making themselves known mid palate.

Finish: Lemon pie.

Overall: Aval Dor's own King Edwards with local rosemary? A match made in heaven, with added sweet roundness and citrus top notes.
