Bloom Gin is a superb London Dry Gin produced by Greenall's and named "Bloom" in reference to the floral nature of its botanicals: honeysuckle, pomelo and chamomile. In 2010 it was awarded a Platinum Medal at the World Spirits Competition.

Nice summer evenings sitting in the sun gin. I recommend serving it with strawberries and tonic...lovely x

The previous version of Blooms is a beautiful, lightly floral gin with a tiny wee label on the front and a transparent cap cover with black tracery. However, its new incarnation in turquoise and gold is a whole new animal that I suspect has been meant to go with a very strong flavoured tonic such as FeverTree because it is so heavy on the citrus notes such that I cannot enjoy the floral notes at all. I certainly will not be purchasing another of the blue livery but was prepared to buy a caseload of the older version and so are two friends who love a well-flavoured gin, unless the new bottle purchased from Bookers turns out to be a fake Blooms.

Can't think what there is in this gin to make Mr & Mrs Morris so dissappointed. But then a babysitter once drank half the bottle of my friend's malt whisky and topped it up with 'pee' so you never know. I like Bloom gin but maybe I've got a bad mouth. Frankly,I'm amazed at the quality and subtlety of the gins today and this is definitely one of them. Good with a small amount of tonic and a slice of sweet apple.

My wife and I have a large gin to last every evening. Yesterday I went to Sainsbury's and among the artisan gins was your Blooms. we hadn't drank it before but assumed it would be on a par with the others. I drink my gin neat while my wife uses tonic. We wee both horrified at the taste. It was like rough London Gin. With a taste similar to Lidl's cheapest London gin. We were expecting something of a smooth gin with wonderful undertones: similar to Horts London gin or something like Caorunn . It is a small batch gin but with your resources you could distil something so subtle as to be a delight to drink neat. Despite the cost we poured it down the drain as we would not touch it again or offer to guests. Come on Greenalls . You should be able to knock the opposition into a cocked hat.

I am amazed this gin is available at such reasonable cost - it is far superior to other gins which do not merit their higher price point. A beautiful mouthfeel and truly finely balanced flavours make this indubitably one of the finest gins available. I would not be surprised to see the price creep north to better represent this as the ultra premium offering it absolutely is.

Second only to the botanist a truly different gin. Great with fentimans, but so many gins are. shop around the masters of malt prices seem to be rising as others are dropping

this for me is the best pound for pound gin around! without spending £35+ you'll be hard pressed to get a better tasting gin.
