Blackdown Hills sounds like a terrifying place where Gandalf would have done battle against a slightly eviler wizard, but it's actually where the fantastic Blackdown Sussex Dry Gin is produced. Awarded a Gold medal in the Premium category of The Spirits Business Gin Masters 2013.
Nose: Strong juniper and lemon whiffs.
Palate: The earth rises very well, almost overpowering the mouth if it were not for the juniper and citrus.
Finish: The woody notes calm down for a smooth and fruity finish. Quite a wild ride that we'd happy go on again.
