Back in 1934, when Masataka Taketsuru had just opened Nikka and started ageing his Japanese whisky, the company also sold apple juice and cider to keep the business running. For Nikka's 80th anniversary, they've produced something very special indeed, which harks back to the history of the company - a 30 year old apple brandy. It has been named in honour of Masataka Taketsuru's wife, Rita, who supported him in his dream of creating Japanese whisky.
