In 2015, Pure Shots entered the Danish nightlife scene. Founders Anders Snede and Lasse Rishøj saw a need for quality shots. They wanted to make shots with great flavour, natural ingredients, and skilled craftsmanship.
Anders had various roles in the restaurant industry and Danish nightlife, from dishwasher to director. He found his calling with Pure Shots. Lasse, known for his refined palate, had consultancy experience with big alcohol companies. He even won the Danish Championship for alcohol-free cocktails.
The idea for Pure Shots came in 2015 at Castenskiold, a food and nightclub. Anders was the director and Lasse was a bartender. Anders suggested Lasse make his own shots when Lasse found no shots he liked. This was the start of Pure Shots.
After that night, they began to develop their shots in Castenskiold's basement. Lasse worked on recipes during the day. At night, Anders tested them with club customers. Their feedback was positive.
From its beginnings in the basement, Pure Shots has grown a lot. They now have six flavours. Their products are sold nationwide in stores, wine and speciality shops, and in cafes, bars, and nightclubs. They are also at many major festivals in Denmark.
Despite growing, the brand stays true to its values. These are Danish craftsmanship, natural ingredients, and pure enjoyment. They focus on using only the best ingredients.
The Pure Principle guides their production. The founders create, taste, and refine all Pure Shots themselves. They use real Danish sugar instead of glucose syrup for a cleaner taste. Their vodka is grain-based, not molasses-based. This avoids the harsh alcohol taste that often needs artificial flavours.
Each shot, be it Liquorice, Lemonade, Raspberry, or Passion, follows the same principle. They focus on high quality and great taste from the best ingredients.
