In Cognac speak, VSOP stands for 'Very Superior Old Pale', and to carry this terminology on the label, the youngest spirit in the blend must be aged for a minimum of four years. Four letters (VSOP) = four years. There you go, a handy way to remember.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose A fruity start with cooked apples in buttery pastry, delicate grapes, and floral, juicy apricots and peaches with a touch of polished oak nestling in the depths.

Palate Soft stone fruits and caramel shortbread cushion a touch of warming gingerbread before notes of cherry chocolate, dried berries, and chilli.

Finish Sweet chilli, toffee apple, rooibos tea, buttery caramel, and peppercorns.

Excellent value for money
This Cognac is superb for the price, I expected the 50% to be too intense for a Cognac but it's very smooth and moreish throughout. I would highly recommend this.
