Hermitage 2010 Grande Champagne Cognac

Hermitage 2010 Grande Bottling Note

A terrific 2010 vintage Grande Champagne Cognac, bottled up by Hermitage! This expression was produced with a majority of Ugni Blanc, combined with Folle Blanche grapes. Aged in a combination of old and new Limousin casks, wood chips are also added to increase the wood interaction, imparting a wonderful oaken tannic influence.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Chocolate toffees, rich roasted coffee, and dark cocoa, musty oak, and a touch of leather follow sweet, cakey spice.

Marvelous
The guys at MOM,got their description of taste bang on,right down to the mandarin and butterscotch taste on the finish..Its an absolute pleasure to sip this. DONT add anything,it is just perfect out the bottle.Infact it is very more-ish so ,sipper beware.. Expensive not really, for the quality. Will have to drop one or two cheaper bottles of my stock to make room for this one,it is a keeper.

Marvelous stuff
Just opened my first bottle of this.MOM s description is bang on.Every flavour ,easily picked out, right down the the mandarin and butterscotch hit on the finish. Not the cheapest, but will give some XO s a run for there money..One definitely for the stock shelf..

Great for the price
This stuff is a step above the VSOPs of the £40-£50ish Cognacs. Bigger, bolder and all in fuller as well as smoother. Also, as Hermitage doesn't blend or add anything, you know you are getting something direct from the barrel. This is my fall-back Cognac when I've had a little too much of the more expensive stuff...
