Fanny Fougerat is a tiny producer which owns 30 hectares of vines, primarily in Borderies but also in Fins Bois. After a long ferment, up to six days, wines from Fins Bois are distilled with the lees to produce a robust spirit suitable for long ageing. This was then aged in French oak, then bottled at 40% ABV. It's a very fruit-driven spirit that really reflects the harvest rather than a house style.

Description

Fanny Fougerat is a tiny producer which owns 30 hectares of vines, primarily in Borderies but also in Fins Bois. Fresh fruit on the nose with pears, apples and peaches, on the palate there's rich shortbread, stone fruit, vanilla, and almond.
