Delamain Pale and Dry XO Bottling Note

A Grande Champagne Cognac blended from well-aged eaux-de-vie, this enjoys a two year marriage. It is "pale" for it has a light hue, despite its age, and is "dry" for it has no added sweetener.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is full and thick with floral notes, a little oak and vanilla spice with a touch of rancio, some leather. The palate is supple and rounded with plenty of fruit. Quite floral with a herbal note. The finish is long and balanced.

Delamain Pale and Dry XO Reviews

Great Cognac for the price.

Delamain are an outstanding Cognac house, I have a few different bottles from them and the pale and dry is a lovely Cognac. They age this Cognac for twenty five years and have done so since it's release. ( at the time a few years ago XO only had to be aged for six years, now it has to be aged for a minimum of ten years ) So to age an XO Cognac 3-4 times the required period speaks volumes about Delamain. It's not just about the ageing the taste is lovely. I highly recommend this Cognac and if you like it then move up to the Vesper and others from Delamain.

Apricots and Custard

Thin, high pitched and perfumy. Apricots, marmalade and white flowers. A long finish with pistachios and a custard Danish pastry right at the end. Seems expensive but with a minimum age of 25 years and a very hands on production it's good value.
