Cognac Brugerolle 19 Year Old 1993 (Master of Malt)
We've taken an adventure away from the whisky path for this addition to our own indie bottling collection with a trip to Cognac! This expression hails from Brugerolle and rested for 19 years in a French oak barrel, with a total of 289 bottles released by us right here at Master of Malt.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Hearty oak, cooked apples, and vinous pressed grapes, with vanilla cream joined by flakes of buttery pastry.
Palate
A silky soft, velvety start, with heaps of cooked orchard fruit – apples, plums, and pears. Oak spice builds with enjoyable prickles of warmth.
Finish
A dry finish as the fruits tail off. Whispers of butterscotch, vanilla, and burnt sugar rest beneath, shrouded in leathery oak and woody, tannic spice.
