Mercier
The Mercier Champagne House was founded in 1858 by Eugene Mercier. This Brut champagne is very popular in France, made from all three grape varietals.
Mercier has been my goto champagne for years now; it displays a lovely evenness from year to year & it is always very popular with my guests, for some reason. It has a far more subtle flavour than the brassy Moet (although it has now been bought out by them it doesn't seem to have affected the flavour) & gives NV Bollingers and Ruinarts a dreadful surprise. It's not up there with the top champagnes for sure, although the Blanc de Blanc is pretty good but sadly only from the chateau. Great value.
Majestic Mercier the best brut champagne going and nice price. Stayed at the old Mercier Manor House, now Hotel 11years ago. Nice to see it sold in the UK
Having been to Mercier in France and done the underground Tour, I have a real liking for the Mercier Brut, and I understand it is the Champagne of choice for the majority of The French Nation, and for the Standard of the product it is excellent value for money.
I love Mercier it is the nicest Champagne I have ever tasted but can no longer find it in stores, and was delighted when I found your site, I treated myself to a bottle of Cristal when I retired and have never been so disappointed in my life so looking forward to receiving this
