Smooth
I have tried quite a few Calvados, trying to find something that reminds me on being on holiday in Normandy but which I really enjoy drinking. This is the smoothest I have found and the least harsh at the finish - certainly not the most expensive though!

Lovely calvados
Baked apples with honey and vanilla. Not remotely harsh. In fact rather gentle. Really very good.

It may be a little entry-level for calvados fans (incidentally, a group whose venn diagram overlaps completely with fans of cravats and competitive sheep shearing, like a perfect eclipse).

All the same, the day I'll turn down a glass of Château du Breuil is the day I grow tired of shearing my perfectly coiffed merino ram (never).
