Description

A cracking Calvados from Normandy's Château du Breuil. This expression spent a dozen years maturing in oak casks, giving the fruit-forward spirit plenty of time to take on a delicate, woody character. This well-rounded sipper ought to make for some splendid after supper serves and sophisticated cocktails.

Overall

Generous helpings of dried fruit, farmhouse cider, and a whiff of lemon lead to earthy oak, a touch of bitter cocoa, and anise.
