“Fabulous quality in every area. This is a bit of treasure at the price. Complex, luxurious and warming to drink. Everything about the product is impressive, from the packaging to the final drop. Outstanding buy.”

Description

At the apex of the spectacular Carlos I selection of Spanish brandies sits their Imperial XO expression. Aged in a Solera system featuring casks that previously held Oloroso and Amontillado Sherries, this expression has been made using brandies that have age for up to 20 years!

Overall

Earthy and rich at first, with tobacco and old oak up front. As it develops, sweetness of fresh figs, dates and a hint of raspberry arrives on the palate. Caramel-coated nuts and clove heat.

DIsappointing

Quite rough and unsophisticated. Nothing like cognac in a zillion years.

Tastes like a cognac

EXECELLENT BOUGHT THIS FOR MY SON-LAW'S 60th BIRTHDAY AND HE WAS WELL PLEASED.

Beryl Herbert Aug 4, 2024

Excellent

Compared with products priced considerably higher this is a superb tipple. I shall be buying more.

Simon Coleman Jul 29, 2024

A wonderful tipple

I’m not an expert but I know what I like and this definitely hits the shot for we. I compares vert well with French XO products that are more than twice the price.
