Grappe is not quite a Grappa, and it's not just because the vowel on the end of the word is different, oh no! While Grappa often makes use of the skins, stems and seeds (as to limit waste in vineyards), the Great Southern Distilling Company's Grappe uses none of those, as to avoid any bitter flavours. It is made from a base of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon and aged in oak, which has imparted a strikingly pleasing nosed, full with rich vanilla.
