Sherry forward whisky. Intense flavours, dark fruits, caramel, dark fudge, dark chocolate, honey, pepper and spice . One of the darkest sherried whiskies on the market. 46% abv, natural colour and non chill filtered.
I would call this a “sherry bomb”—but not the clean, polished kind. It’s dense, slightly rustic, and very old-school, which is exactly why I love it. Think: Christmas cake, dark fruit, and a slightly funky edge. Recommend it for anyone who likes a rich, dessert-like Scotch
Bottled 15/01/25 Spear Mint, Nougat, Sweet & Sour, HP Brown Sauce, Spicy, Tunnock's Caramel Wafer, Dundee Cake. Good mouthfeel with medium finish. Cost MOM 02/10/25 £60.95
I've always liked Edradour whiskies, and have visited their charming little distillery. This one is darker (as I like them) with more complex notes from the storage in multiple casks. It came first in the whisky tasting session we had recently at Bates Cottages Cricket Club! Had to buy it after that, and I'm glad I did.
This is one of the best I've ever tasted. And I've tasted a few! And Masters of Malt were brilliant in changing the courier so I would get it time for my birthday. Fabulous sevice!!
