Tomintoul Tempranillo Wine Cask Finish
Created by Tomintoul's master distiller Robert Fleming, this addition to the Small Batch collection combines single malt initially matured in a host of American oak bourbon casks before it was married and finished in Spanish Tempranillo wine casks.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sweet, jammy berries, Crunchie bars, toffee pudding, vanilla, poached stone fruits, a touch of floral honey.
Palate
The berries continue, with summer fruits and dark fruits combining, alongside waves of vanilla custard and buttery pastry, oak char, and biscuity malt.
Finish
Notes of dark chocolate, studded with dried raspberries linger along with coffee, candied nuts, and gently warming spice.
