A limited release from Speyside's Tomintoul, this single malt was distilled in 2004 and finished in Sauternes wine casks. The result is a gloriously silky, vinous 16 year old single malt, showing off the fabulous adaptability of Tomintoul's spirit when it comes to cask influence. A total of 5,094 bottles was released.
Sweet toffee notes and squishy sultanas, earthy oak, and dried hay.
Sweet grapes and jammy berries, a touch of floral grass, oaken spice, cakey vanilla, and sweet nutmeg.
Buttery shortbread, sugared almonds, sweet barley, and boozy fruit.
