Tomatin 5 Virtues - Metal

The Five Virtues series from Tomatin explores the five elements surrounding whisky distillation - Fire, Water, Earth, Wood and Metal. That last one is the expression we're looking at here. Metal has been aged entirely in first-fill bourbon barrels, giving it a classically vanilla-forward flavour profile.

Reviews for Tomatin Five Virtues - Metal
Sweet but short
I normally go for an Islay dram but have been wanting to venture out and even with the absence of peat and smoke I really enjoyed this. Very easy to sip on, absolutely no burn, I thought it had a very similar nose to a dry white wine, fruity and sweet but found the finish short and dry but never the less still a great whisky. I would recommend for beginners looking to get into tasting.

Liked it.
Very nice whisky with lovely flavours however it is a bit over priced for what it is imo.

A perfect example of an amazing NOS whisky
Very intriguing and especially well suited for those warm summer days. Don't let the 1 star review dissuade you, it seems to be "cool to hate" whiskies with no age statement for some reason. This one really doesn't need an age statement because it's well balanced and lovely.

Too young and bad cask choice
Very disappointed from this expression. Full of young off flavours.
