A very interesting release from the Tomatin distillery in the Highlands, featuring two 35cl bottles of single malt Scotch whisky. The whiskies are both vattings from the same six years (1973, 1977, 1988, 1991, 2002 and 2006) but one of the bottles features whisky only matured in ex-Sherry casks, while the other features whisky only matured in ex-bourbon casks! Both have been bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtration. A fantastic way to see how the type of cask whisky matures in influences its flavour profile.
Just 5,400 of these packs have been produced.

A perfect example of how whisky can be influenced by the casks they are stored within. Marvellous
