Tomatin 12 Year Old 2002 - Cuatro - #3: Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish 70cl Whisky

Tomatin's Cuatro range was unveiled in 2014, and features four single malt bottlings, all distilled on the same day, matured in American oak casks for nine years, and then finished in four different types of Sherry cask for three years. Incidentally, 'Cuatro' is the Spanish word for "four" - rather fitting for this series, don't you think?

This is the third in the Cuatro series, and it was finished in first-fill Oloroso Sherry casks. The classic bold dark fruit notes shine through here, with bitter dark chocolate and a touch of old oak.

1,500 bottles of each of the Cuatro bottlings were produced.
