Description

Part of the super-popular Sherry Oak range from The Macallan Distillery, this 25 Year Old Sherry Oak was matured exclusively in hand-picked, sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain. As you would expect, it's an absolute beauty.

This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!

Nose

The aroma begins with deeply delectable sherried notes of blackcurrant coulis, fresh apricot jam and a drizzle of huckleberry honey. Rich, sweet spices, old, leather-bound books and bouquet of English summer flowers provide a complex backdrop.

Palate

Black treacle, dried figs and bramble fruit lead before baking spices, gingerbread and a touch of light smoke emerges. There's cigar box, oily walnut and chewy oak underneath.

Finish

A smattering of salty vanilla, delicately balanced with barley and very soft oak, lingers.
