The third release in the Prometheus series from The Glasgow Distillery Co., serving as a prelude to its own whiskies. This one comes from an undisclosed distillery in Speyside, made using peated malt and matured in sherry casks for 28 years before bottling at 53% ABV. 888 bottles were produced.
Dried citrus fruits with fresh orange zest, red apple and pear. Hints of clove and marzipan, leading to sweet aniseed against a backdrop of biscuit caramel, toffee and warming spice.
Silky round mouthfeel with a hint of sweet malt, raisins and robust walnuts. Powerful savoury oak complements delicate dark fruits and caramelised plums.
Long, dry, wonderfully balanced delicate finish with hints of smoke and orange spice.
