The English 18 Year Old 2007 (cask B3-0205) - Founders Private Cellar

A very rare limited edition from The English Distillery, one of its oldest to date at the time of bottling in 2025! This unpeated single malt matured for 18 years in a single rum cask, and the result reminded the distillery founders of a Chapter 7, an early rum casked release from 2013 that fans also ought to remember fondly. A release of just 174 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Producer

Nose

Fruits, caramel and vanilla with a background hint of spice.

Palate

Initially full bodied, warming spice (cinnamon and clove), smooth vanilla, raisins, boiled tropical sweets, with a slight oak smoke; over time in the glass, the spice changes to a chocolate note.

Finish

Medium to long finish with a sweet linger of tropical fruit and oak; a beautiful whisky that clings to the glass and really opens up with a splash of water.
