
An age statement English single malt whisky from That Boutique-y Whisky Company, distilled at The English Distillery (formerly St. George's) in Norfolk. The label features the epic struggle between St. George and the dragon as experienced from within the plucky George's helmet. Although this first-person view means we can't see his face, judging by the bloodstains, we estimate his health to be between 40-59% (if this was Doom, he'd have a fair ol' grimace on by now). ‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Initial ash before sweet shortbread makes itself known. Orange cape gooseberries, touches of barbecue sauce and rubbed mint leaves.
With a little water there's Angel Delight and apple pie alongside touches of camphor.
Sweet barley and lingering smokiness.
