This 10-year-old single malt from The English Distillery is a fab find for fans of smoky whiskies. Triple distilled from peated malt, the whisky spent its time maturing in a first-fill Jim Beam bourbon barrel before it was bottled up by That Boutique-y Whisky Company for the World of Smoke series.
Batch 6 is a release of 396 bottles.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles limited edition whiskies from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Delicate, with creamy malt and a touch of polished oak before things open up with vanilla, grilled peach, and smoked wood.
Palate
Soft and silky, with notes of butterscotch, flapjack, and toffee popcorn nestling among cracked peppercorns, a touch of fresh mint, and gently peaty malt.
Finish
Rich oak spice joins sweet peat smoke for the finish, with stewed plums, cooked apples, and toffee supporting fiery cinnamon and nutmeg.
