A superb Speyside single malt, hailing from an undisclosed distillery in the region. Drawn from a vatting of casks that were laid down in 1994, the whisky finished its 23-year maturation in a first-fill bourbon barrel from Kentucky. Independently bottled up by That Boutique-y Whisky Company, the label features a historic encounter between its brand ambassador Dave Worthington and the Whisky Gods, bestowing him with special powers, and a mystical banjo-like instrument called the Banjonir.
Batch 12 is a release of 399 bottles.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles limited edition whiskies from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Light and fruity with tropical notes of coconut, vanilla, and candied pineapples joined by cooked apples drizzled with cream and caramel.
Spiced apple leads, joined by more sweet, tropical fruit and juicy barley. Baking spices nestle comfortably beneath, with a touch of charred oak in tow.
Caramelised fruit lingers, with a return of the toasted coconut from the nose, and a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar.
