Teaninich 11yo TBWC Bottling Note

It's the second batch of indie Teaninich from That Boutique-y Whisky Compnay! This single malt was matured for 11 years, until it was independently bottled at 47.9% ABV. The label recounts the saga of Teaninich founder Captain Hugh Munro, who lost his eye and consequently wasn't allowed to marry the woman who he was betrothed to. Sounds like something out of a movie, doesn't it?

Batch 2 is a release of 1,987 bottles.

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: There’s a lovely ripe grain element here that moves into fresh soda bread. Supple lemon citrus notes then develop among dry grass and vanilla.

Palate: Candied fruit and baking spice initially, before sugared almond, green apple and golden syrup emerge.

Finish: Toffee and lingering citrus notes.

Is this a whiskey or a grappa. I’m struggling to tell

Fantastic
Fantastic whiskey, the smell and the taste equally contrast each other and enjoy every note that is put onto the pallet, there’s no denying the fruity and spice notes that are given off this whiskey, the notes that are left behind are pleasant and wanting to drink more of what you have and there’s much more you’ve left to discover more flavour
