Number four in Tamnavulin's Red Wine Cask Edition range. This Speyside single malt Scotch whisky was initially matured in American oak, before a finishing period in casks that previously held some bold, meaty American cabernet sauvignon. Plenty of red fruits and oak character here.

Nose
Black Forest gateaux, with soft vanilla, and toasted oak.
Palate
Fresh cherries, blackberries, fig, and some silky caramel.
Finish
Allspice and jammy forest fruits.
