Strathmill 21yo TBWC Bottling Note

A 21 year old Strathmill single malt, independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. As a reference to Strathmill's history as a porridge oats mill, the label features Goldilocks swiping some of the leftover oats. She'd better be careful, as there's a bear hiding behind one of those stills!

Batch 6 is a release of 401 bottles.

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: A little anise and lemon oil are present among more prominent notes of golden barley, dried grass, acacia honey and peach cobbler. A little grapefruit adds a lively citrus note.

Palate: An interesting hint of Oloroso sweetness and winter spice rises among vanilla custard, chocolate mousse and charred oak.

Finish: There’s almost a note of foam bananas as the dram fades in a medium-length finish.

Overall: A really lovely dram that you can enjoy, although if you did want to add some ginger ale and a slice of orange that should go down a treat...
