A 2014 bottling of Strathmill single malt Scotch whisky, distilled in 2000. Light and flavoursome, the spirits from the Strathmill distillery in Speyside are rather good for blending, but also stands up when bottled as a single malt. This particular bottling has been released as part of Gordon & MacPhail's Connoisseurs Choice collection.

Coming out of a winter full of smoky/peaty whiskeys, very full flavoured and warming I decided to pick something different up this week. I chose this and it was exactly what I wanted, a clean crisp fresh taste made better by a bit of April sunshine, the flavours are quite obvious and it is not too complex, it will not take long to drink this and I'll definitely get some more!
