Strathmill 11 Year Old 2010 (cask 8017063) - The Cooper's Choice (The Vintage Malt Whisky Co.)
From the spectacular Strathmill Distillery comes this marvellous 11 year old single malt, independently bottled by The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. for The Cooper's Choice collection. Distilled in March 2010, the whisky spent its time maturing in an American oak cask, followed by some time in a Sauternes wine cask before finally, an outturn of 306 bottles was drawn in 2021.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Oozing with floral honey, wood chips, and syrupy sultana pancakes.
Palate
Creamy vanilla and oaty flapjack drizzled with milk chocolate, crisp apple, and a touch of nutty maple syrup.
Finish
Malty with sweet raisins and boozy sultanas, whiffs of plum, and peppery dark chocolate.
