Penderyn's Celt single malt, in a fancy newly designed bottle. This expression from the Welsh distillery is treated to a finish in casks that previously held peated whisky, imparting elegant wisps of smoky peat alongside the creamy vanilla and biscuity barley at its core.
Vanilla and orange zest blend well, with touches of coast peat wafting in. The peat grows more intense on the palate, with a little bit of a medicinal edge to it.

This is a beautiful whisky. Its not a peat monster, but for someone intimidated by Lagavulin 16, a wonderful pleasure. A dribble of water opens it up. Think a blend of two thirds Glenfiddich and a third Laphroaig. I like it very much.
