Cask strength, single cask grain whisky from the North British distillery, bottled by the wonderful Wemyss Malts. It was distilled in 2007 and set aside to mature in a hogshead until 2017, when Wemyss bottled it at a generous 64.8% ABV, and named it after a Swedish style of cake - yum! 440 bottles were released.
Almond, salted butter, a whiff of vanilla essence and some underlying white pepper.
Certainly rather cake-y indeed! Plenty of baking spice warmth coming through too.
Lasting marzipan with a hint of strawberry jam and black pepper.
