Bourbon
Distilled in 1992 at the North British distillery, this grand old single grain spent the next 30 years hanging out in a refill bourbon barrel. In 2022, that barrel was opened by the folks at Hannah Whisky Merchants, releasing 147 bottles for its Lady of the Glen collection.
Buttermilk, white chocolate, salted caramel, syrup-soaked oats.
Oily, with layers of caramel, ginger, and apricot jam. Sweet liquorice develops in time, alongside creamy buttered fudge.
A hint of cinnamon, honey-roasted almonds, and prickles of pepper.
