That's what the gang at That Boutique-y Whisky Company reckons anyway. This is a 15-year-old Inchfad, a heavily peated single malt, married from a bourbon barrel and a Pedro Ximénez hogshead.
Batch 3 is a release of 66 bottles.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles limited edition whiskies from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Elegant notes of seaweed and rock pools are backed by tangy stone fruits and a touch of melon, welcoming the way for softly herbaceous smoke in time.
Palate
Salted peanut brittle, buttered malt loaf, and some earthy notes of stewed tea are joined by fiery candied ginger.
Finish
The seaside salinity lingers, bringing flinty smoke and charcoal alongside drying, woody spice.
