    Croftengea 12 Year Old 2007 (cask 396) - Cask Collection (A.D.Rattray)

From A.D. Rattray's Cask Collection indie bottling range comes a peaty treat distilled by Loch Lomond! Released under the Croftengea name, this single malt Scotch whisky was distilled in 2007 and left to age in a bourbon hogshead for 12 years. After a dozen years of slumber the whisky was bottled up in 2019, with only 145 bottles produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Apples, oranges and poached pears, plus roasted barley smokiness underneath.

    Palate

Peat comes to the fore, with lots of smoke and spice. The orchard fruit freshness is still there, but subdued somewhat.

    Finish

Greengages, toasted brioche and cask char.
