Lindores Abbey Nectere
This fully sherry cask matured single malt joins the core range from Lowland distillery Lindores Abbey. Matured exclusively in four types of sherry cask – oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, amontillado and palo cortado – each of which contributes its own distinct characteristic. With layers of dark fruit, warm spice, and rich, nutty depth, this ought to shine in an Old Fashioned, we reckon!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sweet layers of red apple, vanilla custard, sultanas, cinnamon, and treacle.
Palate
Dark sticky fruits and caramelised brown sugar join toasted marzipan, chocolate raisins, candied nuts, and baking spice.
Finish
Creamy vanilla, spiced biscuits, a dash of nutmeg.
