Lp12 from Elements of Islay combines two refill and two sherry casks from a certain distillery, which we shall refer to by its Islay Periodic Table name "Lp". Packed with medicinal character and sweet smoke, this is a classic Islay single malt, which looks like it came straight out of a very cool laboratory.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Charcoal and bonfire smoke, sweet charred oak, floral zest, and poached pear.
Palate
Medicinal peat smoke, sweet tropical fruit, coastal spray, and fire ashes.
Finish
Wafts of menthol with pungent, herbal peat, and lingering rich sherried oak.
