Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey has been made at its Lynchburg distillery since 1875. The branding and original label, sometimes referred to as No. 7 or Black Label; has made its way into pop culture, with merchandise sold the world over and a history of association with music. Frank Sinatra was even buried with a bottle. The Tennessee whiskey makers use a mash bill made up of 80% corn, 12% rye, and 8% malt to create Jack Daniels whiskey, which is then filtered through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal to produce a mellow, slightly smoky character. A method known as the Lincoln County Process, it means this is not a bourbon, but instead meets the legal definition of a Tennessee whiskey. Jasper Newton "Jack" Daniel ( c. January 1849 – October 9, 1911) was an American distiller and businessman, best known as the founder of the Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey distillery.
Light with plenty of sweetness. There are hints of dry spice and oily nuts, a touch of smoke.
Quite smooth and soft with notes of banana milkshake, a mixed nut note, a touch of caramel with crème anglaise.
Sweet with a little cereal sweetness and toasty oak.

This is a very popular whisky and many people like it. Personally, I do not. I tried a shot of Jack Daniel's neat and found it tasted of paint thinner and salt water taffy.
Mixed with coke and still taste like I was drinking windex. Horrible chemical aftertaste. Won't buy again.
It’s JD...a little bit of America in a bottle! Yes there are more complex, smoother and much better but when in the USA you’ve got to have a shot of Mr. Jack Daniels.
Jack Daniels was a bit rough the first time I tasted it. I didn't like it very much the first time. But after giving it a second taste I completely fell in love with it! It's one of my favorite liquors and I highly recommend it straight with some whisky rocks.
Confession times. I dont thin I will ever again buy JD. I agree with the previous poster. Life is to short, and we have way more money to spend. However If we put all this philosofical debate aside, it is still 5/5 for what it offers, and for the price point that it offers it. I think it has the best quality/price ratio, its a sipper in a way, ok I sip it directly from vottle to my throat, and I guess costumers recognize that. Look. Customer is not stupid. He see Chivas 18, abunadh, hennessy xo, and jack...And he says. Fuck it. And takes the jack. I had JD for reference point for a long time (with chivas 12 naturally), but I have nove moved to JDSB for reference point against malts and cognacs. Good stuff that SB. Anyways, I am getting to long.
