The folks at Heroes & Heretics know how to sniff out a great whiskey, and they've gone and bottled one up exclusively for us! This is an amazing American whiskey from the legendary Heaven Hill, distilled in 2009 and bottled after 11 years of maturation as part of the Heroes & Heretics Stateside series. Presented at a generous 51% ABV, without any chill-filtration or additional colourings, this is a hugely flavoursome expression, with loads of buttery, syrupy, spicy notes to enjoy. Only 310 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Toasted coconut flakes, banana fritters, melted butter on crumpets, cinnamon buns, and strong coffee.
Palate
Maple syrup drizzled over chocolate chip waffles, nutmeg, crème caramel, spiced walnut loaf, and cask char.
Finish
Clementine, liquorice, butterscotch, diced almond, plus a hint of stem ginger lingering.
