Description
This eight-year-old single malt from Glentauchers spent its time maturing in a single refill hogshead. A total of 291 cask-strength bottles were independently released by Chorlton Whisky, without added colour or chill filtration.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sweet, biscuity malt, runny caramel, and juicy fruit salad.
Palate
Malted Milk biscuits, cooked apple, and creamy stone fruit, with buttered tea cakes and crackles of oak spice.
Finish
Burnt pepper and charred oak join spiced honey and dark chocolate.
